The physicians and staff at Atlanta Center for Gastroenterology are focused on improving the overall quality of life for patients suffering with painful medical conditions. We offer our patients, as well as other ill members of the community, access to treatment options through participation in clinical research trials. We have participated in multiple studies of illnesses related to digestive diseases & hepatology.

Clinical Research Trials

What is a

Clinical Research Trial?

Why would you want to participate in a Clinical Trial?

What should I expect while participating in a Clinical Trial?

Are clinical research trials safe?

We established ACG's research division to support its physicians in applying their extensive clinical experience and knowledge to academic research in digestive diseases. We have a full-time staff of certified clinical research coordinators who are supervised by our Board Certified physicians. They have experience as Principal Investigators in major trials, both nationally and internationally.

Our investigative site participates in clinical research trials to test the safety and efficacy of new drugs being developed. These medicines treat a wide range of digestive disease, including Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn's Disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) amongst other conditions. Our facilities are designed to ensure the accuracy of data collection and to maintain an extensive patient database for future clinical trials. All studies are FDA approved and monitored, and all protocols and guidelines are followed by the staff.
